Dell Buys Perot Systems for $3.9 bn
US computer company Dell expanded into the global technology services business with a £3.9 billion takeover of Perot Systems. The deal enables Dell to expand beyond the PC business and provide all-round packages and consultancy. Offering a broader range to their customers will allow Dell to compete with the likes of Hewlett Packard and IBM.
