Microsoft Allows European Internet Explorer Alternatives
Microsoft has agreed to let European users choose which internet browser to use as part of a deal struck with the European Commission. The agreement comes after a long running dispute in which Microsoft was accused of abusing its market position.

Swindon Borough Council’s Plan to Make the Internet Free For All
Swindon Borough Council are working to make Swindon the first town in the UK to provide free internet access for all residents. Subscribers to the service – to be called Signal – will receive free connection with borough-wide movement. The usage will be limited however subscribers will have the option to pay for a 20Mb upgrade.
